Didn’t you used to be called Roosters Piri Piri?
Yes we did. Roosters Piri Piri is actually a franchise. And we bought the rights to the Swindon branch in 2012. Unfortunately in 2014 Roosters Piri Piri, the Franchisor (Head Office) went into administration. This subsequently led to a lot of supply and quality issues for us. And an uncertain future for the brand.
In 2015 we decided to leave the Roosters Piri Piri franchise and formed Roosters Grill Shack. We now control our own quality and supply chain (being able to source the very best ingredients) and have upgraded all our recipes. As an added bonus we can pass the savings of not being with a franchise (not paying royalty fees) on to our lovely customers.
How is your food cooked?
Our chicken is hand marinated in a blend of piri piri chilli’s, fresh herbs and spices for 24 hours. It’s steamed to lock in the moisture. And then flame-grilled to order on an open flame with a basting of your choice. Our lamb and beef cuts are all hand-made and flame-grilled to order. So you can trust the quality and taste of every bite.
